.DISCUSSION...
Strong westerly winds gusting from 45 to 55 mph will continue for
the remainder of this afternoon, with gradual weakening expected
through this evening. Humidities in the 30-40% range will improve
into the 50% range through the overnight hours, with maximum
overnight recoveries of around 58%.
Thursday through Sunday...Very strong flow aloft will cover the
forecast area much of the period. Gusty surface winds are expected
the next several days as well, especially on Friday and Friday
night. Snow chances return for the burn area by Friday night, with
generally light accumulations expected through Saturday morning.
There will be another chance for snow Saturday night into Sunday.
Temperatures will be warmer than normal Thursday and Friday, but
will cool off and be below normal for the weekend. Smoke dispersal
will be good and very good in the mountains and foothills during
the afternoon hours all four days and over the plains on just
Saturday and Sunday. Critical fire weather conditions are not
expected.
