.DISCUSSION...

Prevailing west winds are expected through tomorrow, with ridgetop
gusts exceeding 30 mph at times this afternoon and again Sunday afternoon.
Mid-slope and valley locations will be considerably sheltered from the
prevailing winds, with speeds less than half of those near ridgetops.
Wind speeds will weaken noticeably after sunset and remain relatively
light overnight.

Scattered mid-level cloud cover should largely remain confined to areas
west of the Continental Divide, with little to no spillover to the east
of Longs Peak. Most of this cloud cover will dissipate overnight.

Temperatures are currently in the low to mid 20`s, with the west winds
producing wind chill values in the upper single digits. Wind chills may
drop below zero tonight, despite the weakening winds. This will
especially be the case for more exposed locations on windward slopes or
near ridgetops.

Similar conditions are expected Sunday with slightly warmer temperatures.
No precipitation is expected through the forecast period.
