.DISCUSSION...Scattered to numerous rain and snow showers will
develop this afternoon and continue this evening and overnight.
However, temperatures are expected to be warm enough to prevent
much in the way of accumulation. At this time, it appears an inch
or so of slushy snow will be possible mainly on vegetation or
elevated surfaces. Snow coverage and intensity is expected to pick
up on Thursday, especially for the afternoon and evening. Total
accumulations of 2-6 inches will be possible by late Thursday
evening, but again the more significant snow accumulations will
be on vegetation. That said, we still expect a couple inches of
snow to accumulate on back roads and other non-paved surfaces
Thursday afternoon and evening. Snow will taper off overnight
Thursday night with only light flurries possible for Friday.
