.DISCUSSION...Rest of today through Saturday... Fire weather
concerns will remain low through the rest of today. Snow
showers will continue in the mountains through the late evening.
Scattered snow showers are expected on the plains this afternoon,
with generally light accumulations. Tomorrow we could see elevated
fire weather conditions across portions of the eastern plains.
Winds will be breezy from the northeast in the late morning and
afternoon across our eastern counties. RHs are expected to drop
into the 15% to 25% range in the areas with the higher winds,
leading to elevated conditions.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday night through Wednesday...
Temperatures will warm into next week, with well above normal
temperatures by Tuesday. Conditions will remain dry through this
period as well. Winds are forecast to remain low enough through
Monday that critical fire weather conditions are not expected.
However, winds will Increase Tuesday in Wednesday, leading to
potentially elevated or near critical conditions.
