.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...The current storm will
bring snow and cold temperatures to all of the forecast area
today and tonight. There will be no critical fire weather
conditions today. Smoke dispersal will be fair to good over
the eastern half of the plains for a few hours this
afternoon, otherwise is will be poor all day for most of
the forecast area.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday...Snow will
gradually come to an end on Saturday, with some light accumulation
possible over the mountains. A warming and drying trend is
expected Sunday into early next week. Some elevated to near
critical fire weather conditions will be possible across the
plains Monday afternoon. A few afternoon showers or perhaps a
thunderstorm will be possible, mainly mid/late next week. Poor to
fair smoke dispersal is forecast Saturday. Good to excellent
dispersal is forecast Sunday through Tuesday.
