.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Thursday...
Thursday will be mild and dry. There will be light winds and no
critical fire weather conditions are expected. Smoke dispersal will
be poor across the plains and good in the higher terrain.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...Mild and
dry conditions are expected through Friday ahead of an approaching
storm system from the north. Winds increase Friday ahead of this
storm system Friday in the mountains and foothills. Some of these
gusty winds may spread eastward onto the nearby plains. This next
storm system will bring much cooler temperatures for Saturday with
light snowfall likely Friday night and Saturday morning. Cold
temperatures continue Sunday and a second system may bring another
round of light snow to the area. This cooler and more active
weather pattern is expected to persist into next week.
