.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Sunday...Upper level low will remain
over the Desert Southwest through Sunday. Other than a few rain
and snow showers over the higher terrain Sunday afternoon, dry
conditions are expected. Southerly winds over the eastern plains
will bring warmer temperatures and lower relative humidities.
Weaker winds and higher relative humidities will prevail to the
west of I- 25 Sunday.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Sunday night through Thursday...The
latest storm will keep some change of needed precipitation through
Monday. After that, upper ridging will move back over the
forecast area with a dry weather pattern and warmer than average
temperatures at least into next weekend. Humidity levels will drop
into teens over the plains for a few hours in the afternoon
Wednesday through Friday so the fire danger will be slightly
elevated.
