.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...
Isolated showers and thunderstorms possible for the Front Range
and the plains this afternoon, with lightning and strong outflow
winds as the main concern. A few storms could become severe across
the eastern plains. Strongest storms have the ability to produce
heavy rain. However storms are expected to move faster than the
previous days, so flooding concerns are minimal. Overnight
humidity recoveries will be excellent, with RHs between 70-90%.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday through Monday...
Another round of isolated showers and thunderstorms possible on
Friday, with lightning and strong outflow winds as the main
concern. By the weekend, hot temperatures will return, with
forecasted highs reaching 100 F for the plains Sunday and Monday.
Lower RHs are expected as well, however relatively weak winds (<20
mph) will keep fire weather concerns at bay.
