.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Snow will spread from the
central mountains northward and east across the plains by mid
afternoon. There will be some rain mixed in on the plains. Smoke
dispersal will mostly be poor across the plains, and good to very
good in the mountains.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday through Monday...Cool and
unsettled weather will continue Friday and Saturday, with light
rain and snow showers across most of the forecast area. The best
chance of measurable snow/wetting precipitation will be from the
Southern Foothills into the western sections of the Palmer Divide.
Lighter precipitation amounts are forecast elsewhere.
Temperatures will be below normal both days, with a warming and
drying trend likely Sunday into next week. Smoke dispersal on
Friday and Saturday will generally be poor to fair across the
foothills and I-25 corridor, with fair to good conditions
elsewhere. Better dispersal is forecast on Monday and Tuesday.
