.DISCUSSION...Rest of today through Friday...
Very warm temperatures today will warm even further to near record
levels for Friday. Humidity recovery tonight will be good over the
eastern plains and high mountain valleys, but only moderate at
best in the foothills and thermal belts of the mountains. Under
Friday`s heat, minimum RH will drop into the 12-18% range over
most areas, but 20-26% over the far eastern plains. Winds will
stay light and well under any highlight criteria. A slight
increase in upper level moisture will lead to isolated to
scattered virga or a weak storm, but any of these will be capable
of producing strong, gusty outflow winds to 50 mph or more.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday night through Tuesday...
Temperatures will cool slightly this weekend while monsoonal
moisture increases. This will lead to scattered storm development,
some with wetting rains, each afternoon and evening through early
next week. Humidity readings will show a bump with almost all
areas staying above 20% for minimums each day. No significant
winds are expected outside of thunderstorms.
