.DISCUSSION...Tonight through Saturday...
Scattered showers and storms will continue through the evening, moving
out of the forecast area by late tonight. Overnight relative
humidity values will be decent across the region, ranging from 50%
at the highest elevations to upper 90% across the lowest
elevations.
Not much has changed with the extended forecast and conditions are
still on track to warm a few degrees over the next few days and
dry out under a building Four Corners upper-level ridge.
Fortunately, winds are generally still expected to remain light
under the ridge that should help keep any critical fire weather
conditions from developing. Wednesday and Thursday look to be the
driest days with little to no precipitation expected outside of
an isolated afternoon shower or storm over the higher terrain. A
cold front is expected to drop south sometime late this week and
the ridge will start to flatten out by Thursday. It`s looking like
moisture will return to the forecast area for the weekend, with
increased chances of precipitation and cooler temperatures
expected through the extended forecast period.
