.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...
Showers and thunderstorms will be much more localized today,
favoring the northern plains this morning and the southern and
eastern plains this afternoon and evening. In these areas,
localized wetting rains can be expected. Otherwise, most areas
will remain dry, with notably cooler conditions.
Near seasonal temperatures are expected to start the week,
with generally dry conditions outside of a few isolated showers,
favoring the mountains. Elevated humidity levels and light winds
will keep fire weather concerns limited through the period.
