.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...
Temperatures will be cooler but still several degrees above
normal given a very warm start to the day. Humidity values will
have a bump up due to more clouds, monsoonal moisture, and the
slight cooling. Minimum RHs are expected to stay above 25% in
most locations, and above 35% over the mountains and higher
foothills. A few light showers/sprinkles will occur over the
northern areas this morning, but then scattered showers and storms
some with locally heavy rain will develop this afternoon and
continue through mid evening. Good humidity recovery is expected
in all areas tonight.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday through Friday...
Tuesday and Wednesday will feature scattered to numerous showers
and thunderstorms that contain wetting if not locally heavy
rainfall. Temperatures will be just above normal with relatively
high humidity values for this time of year. A drying and slow
warming trend will start Thursday and Friday, although scattered
showers and storms can still be expected mainly in/near the Front
Range mountains, foothills, and Park County. More significant
drying and heating is expected by next weekend.
