Scattered afternoon showers and storms capable of producing gusty
outflow winds are expected today and Sunday, with the best
moisture expected across the northern mountains. While some strong
winds are expected, relative humidity values are expected to
remain above critical thresholds across the forecast area.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Sunday night through Thursday...
Moisture will remain in place across the region over the next few
days, with continued chances for showers and thunderstorms
through Monday. Monsoon moisture is then expected to quickly
decrease by Tuesday and Wednesday, with a gradual warming trend
also forecast. While gusty winds may eventually develop across the
high country by mid-week, relative humidity is expected to remain
above critical thresholds (generally 20-30%).
