.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...
Mostly dry and hot conditions are expected today, with only
isolated showers/storms possible in the mountains of Park County.
North and Middle Park will see RH drop into the mid teens this
afternoon while the majority of the lower elevations stay above
15%. Winds are expected to generally remain light, with North Park
seeing gusts up to 20 mph. Overnight recoveries will be decent
outside of the lower foothills tonight, where recoveries are only
expected to get to 40-45%.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday through Monday...
Temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 90s across the plains
on Friday, with 80s expected across the mountain valleys. Isolated
to widely scattered high-based showers/storms will be possible
Friday afternoon. If these manage to hold together as they move
off the terrain, there could be a few strong outflows with little
to no precipitation. Humidity readings will drop into the mid
teens in most spots outside of the eastern plains. Moisture
increases Saturday into Sunday. While only slight cooling is
expected, humidity readings will show a bump higher as monsoonal
moisture arrives. That moisture will also lead to growing coverage
of afternoon and evening showers and storms through this weekend
and into early next week.
