.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Warm and dry conditions are
forecast again today. Winds will be weaker than Monday and will
limit the overall fire danger. A few high-based showers could
produce some gusty winds this afternoon, with low chances of
wetting rain. Deep mixing will allow for very good to excellent
smoke dispersal across the forecast area this afternoon.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...An active
pattern is expected through the week, with an increase in
moisture. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are forecast most
afternoons, with the best chances of rain coming Wednesday and
Thursday. Friday may end up a little cooler, before a warming
trend returns for the weekend. Smoke dispersal will generally be
very good or excellent across the higher elevations, with poor to
good dispersal each day over the plains.
