.DISCUSSION...Tonight through Wednesday...Scattered afternoon and
evening thunderstorms will continue to spread eastward across
Colorado. For Saturday, storms are expected to form late in the
morning over the mountains. The showers and storms will spread
eastward again. The stronger storms will be capable of producing
gusty winds to 50 mph, brief heavy rain, and small hail. A few
strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible over far eastern
Colorado where better moisture and instability will reside.
Storm chances are expected to gradually decrease through this
weekend with very little storm activity Sunday and Monday, as a
drier airmass spreads back across the region. The high pressure
aloft becomes centered over the region Tuesday with very warm and
very dry conditions expected Tuesday through Thursday.
