.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...A significant winter storm is
expected across the forecast area today and tonight on into early
Saturday with widespread substantial snowfall amounts. There
will be no critical fire weather conditions.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday...Snow will end in
most areas Saturday morning, with lingering showers in the
mountains through Saturday night. There will be a period of
strong winds over the higher elevations and east slopes of the
Front Range Saturday night. After that, mild temperatures with
lighter winds are expected. Stable conditions can be expected on
the plains due to snow cover.
