.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Friday...
Friday will be chilly and snowy so fire weather concerns will be on
the low side. There will be gusty winds up to 25 mph across the
plains so smoke dispersal will be good there. Across the higher
terrain, the foothills will have poor smoke dispersal while the
mountains will have fair dispersal.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday night through Tuesday...Snow showers
will linger into the overnight hours Friday night, with clearing
conditions Saturday. A steady warming and drying trend is expected
Sunday into next week, with temperatures returning to above normal
values. Poor to fair smoke dispersal is expected across most of
the higher elevations and urban corridor Saturday. At least good
dispersal is likely Sunday through Tuesday.
