.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight... Today will be mild with a good
deal of high level clouds. Minimum relative humidity will drop to
around 20 percent in most locations. Winds will be very light
today so no critical fire weather conditions are expected. With
such light winds, smoke dispersal will be poor across the vast
majority of our forecast area.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday...
Breezier Saturday with improved smoke dispersal in the high country.
Snow showers will develop in the mountains Sunday into Monday morning,
with a few inches of accumulation for the higher elevations. A light
wintry mix or snow shower will be possible for lower elevations Sunday
night into Monday morning, with limited (if any) accumulation.
More significant mountain snowfall will develop Tuesday into Wednesday,
with a possibility of impacting the lower elevations as well. Smoke
dispersion will be most favorable Sunday and Monday.
