.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Monday...A weak system will track
across the area tonight bringing areas of snow. Snowfall amounts
will generally be light. For the mountains, 2 to 5 inches are
expected. For the lower foothills eastward to the Interstate 25
corridor, up to 2 inches of snow will be possible. For Monday,
high pressure moves in bringing cool and stable conditions. Smoke
dispersion will be poor except over Park County and the higher
foothills.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Monday night through Friday...A storm
system will bring widespread precipitation to the area Tuesday
through Wednesday nigh along with cooler temperatures. Heavy snow
is possible with the storm over the mountains Tuesday through
Wednesday night with 12 to 24 inches possible. Snow is possible
over the foothills, high valleys and even the plains with this
system, however precipitation should be done by Thanksgiving Day
for all areas. Dry conditions with below normal temperatures are
expected Thursday and Friday. Most st areas will see mainly poor
smoke dispersal through the week.
