.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Friday...Scattered showers and
thunderstorms will move across the mountains this evening. There
is a chance of showers and thunderstorms on the plains late
tonight into Friday morning. Another round of scattered showers
and storms is expected Friday afternoon. The main threat from all
of these storms will be gusty winds, though localized heavy rain
is possible, especially on the plains.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday night through Tuesday...Drier air
will move in Friday evening, bringing a quick end to any shower
activity. For Saturday through Tuesday, scattered afternoon and
evening storms are expected with temperatures near or a little
above normal. The mountain valleys will have minimum humidities of
15-20% with breezy afternoons, but critical conditions are not
expected. Humidities will be higher on the plains, even with hot
temperatures.
