.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Warm and dry conditions are
forecast today, with temperatures likely reaching the low to mid
90s across the lower elevations. Daytime minimum relative humidity
will reach about 15-25% across most of the lower elevations and
high mountain valleys. Scattered high based showers and a few
thunderstorms are possible this afternoon, with variable and gusty
outflow winds as the main hazard. Elevated fire weather conditions
will be possible across North Park where winds will gust to 20-25
mph in the afternoon, with weaker winds forecast elsewhere.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday...Above normal
temperatures will continue again on Saturday, with scattered
showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. A gradual increase
in moisture is forecast for this weekend into early next week,
with continued chances for afternoon showers and storms on Sunday
and Monday. A drying trend is likely by Tuesday. Both winds and
relative humidity are not expected to reach critical thresholds
through the forecast period.
