.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...
Southwest flow aloft around an upper level high just to the
southeast will continue to bring above normal temperatures and
monsoon moisture scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms
today.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday through Friday...
Moonsoon moisture will linger over southern areas of the area
on Tuesday with scattered afternoon thunderstorms over the
Palmer Divide. Elsewhere, activity will be more isolated to
widely scattered.
High pressure aloft begins to flatten on Wednesday,as drier
westerly flow aloft will prevail. This westerly flow aloft will
continue Thursday and Friday with dry conditions expected. Temperatures
briefly cool Wednesday, but return to the upper 80s to lower 90s
foor Thursday and Friday.
