.DISCUSSION...Rest of today through Wednesday...
For this afternoon and evening, scattered showers and storms are
expected mainly for the high country with a lower chance along the
I-25 corridor. Any shower could produce gusty winds and
lightning. Shower and thunderstorm coverage will increase for
Wednesday across the entire forecast area. Scattered to numerous
wetting rains can be expected and locally heavy rain will be
possible Wednesday afternoon and evening.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday night through Sunday...
Showers and thunderstorms should continue into the evening on
Wednesday. Shower and thunderstorm coverage will further increase
for Thursday across the entire forecast area. Scattered to
numerous wetting rains can be expected and locally heavy rain will
be possible Thursday afternoon and evening. Slightly cooler
weather is expected Wednesday and Thursday with improved humidity
readings. Friday and Saturday will turn drier again especially
across the plains. Isolated wetting rain and RH of 30-40% are
expected for Friday across the high country with a non-zero but
very low chance for wetting rain on Saturday and Sunday
afternoons/evenings. The plains will likely stay dry after
Thursday evening. Temperatures will resume a warming trend to
above normal readings.
