.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Saturday...Warmer and drier conditions
are forecast across the region on Saturday, with highs in the low
to mid 90s across the plains. A few gusty, high-based showers are
possible during the afternoon hours, with very low chances of
wetting rainfall. Good to excellent smoke dispersal is forecast
across the region.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday night through Wednesday...A warm
and very dry pattern should continue Sunday into Monday as a ridge
expands to the east of the forecast area. Locally elevated fire
weather conditions are possible across portions of the high
country, but winds should generally remain below critical
thresholds. An increase in moisture is anticipated by Tuesday or
Wednesday with better chances of wetting rain. Smoke dispersal
should generally be good to excellent each afternoon.
