.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Sunday...Windy and dry conditions will
continue over the mountains/valleys through the early evening,
with gusts up to 25-30 mph and RH in the 9-20% range. After
sunset, winds will decrease and moisture will increase ahead of an
approaching upper level shortwave. Overnight light showers are
possible across the higher terrain. For the plains, showers and
thunderstorms will continue overnight, producing brief moderate to
heavy rainfall with the strongest storms.
For Sunday, showers and thunderstorms are expected across the
Front Range and plains. There is a lower chance of precipitation
for Jackson, Grand, and Summit counties tomorrow. Localized elevated
fire weather conditions are possible, especially for Jackson
county, as RH values should be in the teens to low 20s and wind
gusts up to 25 mph.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Sunday night through Thursday...Monday and
through the week, drier conditions are expected, especially for
the higher terrain. Relative humidity values will be in the low
teens to low 20s each day. However, winds will stay relatively
light, gusting up to 20 mph at most.
