.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Thursday...
Temperatures will average several degrees above normal through
Thursday as an upper level ridge remains over the state. Humidity
readings will be low - generally 12-18% across most of the area,
with slightly higher readings over the higher mountains and far
eastern plains. Winds will conform to fairly normal diurnal wind
patterns with high pressure in control.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...Cooler
weather will arrive Friday with the early morning passage of a
cold front across the plains. There will be a bump in humidity
readings, due in combination to cooler temperatures and an
increase in atmospheric moisture. Scattered to numerous showers
and thunderstorms will develop Friday afternoon and evening, with
most producing wetting rains in areas that see the storms.
Temperatures will be cooler and about 10 degree below normal for
this weekend. That means higher humidity readings, and with plenty
of moisture around at least scattered shower and storm coverage
with wetting rains. Monday will likely see more widespread
wetting rainfall.
