The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  West Central Elbert County in east central Colorado...
  Southeastern Douglas County in northeastern Colorado...

* Until 430 PM MDT.

* At 134 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, gulches,
           roads, and poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Elbert.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Antelope Creek, Running Creek, Kiowa Creek, West Bijou Creek, West
  Kiowa Creek, East Cherry Creek, Comanche Creek, Crowfoot Creek, Elk
  Creek, Cherry Creek and West Cherry Creek.
