...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL BOISE AND SOUTH
CENTRAL VALLEY COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM MDT...
At 720 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Clear Creek Summit, or 7 miles north of Lowman,
moving north at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust possible. Minor
damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Deadwood Reservoir, Clear Creek Summit, Bear Valley Campground,
Monumental Peak, and Deer Creek Pass.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
