...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN MALHEUR COUNTY
THROUGH 930 PM PDT...

At 844 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Rufino Butte, or 40 miles west of Parma, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust possible. Minor
         damage to outdoor objects is possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Harper around 1010 PM MDT.
  Little Valley and Vines Hill around 1020 PM MDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
