...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH INTERMITTENT HEAVY RAIN
THIS WEEK...

.DISCUSSION...
Monsoon moisture will continue to bring cloudy skies with rain
showers and scattered thunderstorms to the fire area through
Thursday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms should clear by mid
afternoon on Monday, with about a 10-20% chance of showers
lingering to the early evening. A break overnight will be followed
by better chances of thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon. Outflow
winds in stronger showers and storms could gust up to 40 mph on
Monday-Tuesday.

Rainfall totals from all of these pushes of precipitation will be
up to 0.30-0.50" by Wednesday afternoon. Heavier amounts close to
0.75"-1.00" are possible in stronger storms, but unlikely. Steep
and rocky drainages are more susceptible to flash floods and
debris flows with heavy rainfall over a half inch. After Thursday, a
warming and drying trend will take over, with hot and dry
conditions anticipated through the weekend.
