Upper-level ridge over the southwestern US and the eastern
Pacific will continue to provide hot, dry weather with light
diurnal surface winds, while also blocking any monsoon
moisture from moving north.  A Canadian upper trough and
associated dry surface cold front will arrive Monday night,
then breezy and cooler Tuesday.
