.DISCUSSION...
Moisture and instability will increase through the late week as
an upper level low slowly moves across the area. As a result,
isolated thunderstorms and showers are expected across much of the
region, apart from the Magic Valley area and and central Malheur
County. Timing of thunderstorms is mainly in the later afternoon
and evening, although there is a chance they may continue
overnight. Thunderstorms and showers then expand throughout the
region, increasing up to scattered through Wednesday, again mainly
in the afternoon and evening. With thunderstorms there is a
chance of heavy rainfall, small hail, and outflow winds to 40 mph
increasing up to 50 mph on Wednesday. Possible accumulated
rainfall totals of 0.5-1" over mountains and 0.1-0.5" elsewhere
through Thursday may lead to debris flows over burn scars.
Unsettled weather is expected to persist through the late week.
