* Southwest Idaho BLM (ID Zones 400, 420, 423, 424, 426)...Temperatures
general warm alongside drying conditions through Thursday,
peaking on Thursday at 10-15 degrees above normal for this time
of year. The warming is briefly interrupted on Tuesday as a
quick moving system brings a 20% chance of precipitation and
increasing cloud cover. Rain showers and thunderstorms will be
focused on the higher terrain along and north of the Nevada
border. Later in the week, a strong Pacific system will carry a
cold front through the area, dropping temperatures about 15-20
degrees from Thursday. Precipitation chances with the front are
lower, at 10-20%, and confidence is low due to timing differences
amongst guidance.
* Southwest Idaho Forest (ID Zones 401, 402, 403,
421)...Temperatures general warm alongside drying conditions
through Thursday, peaking on Thursday at 10-15 degrees above
normal for this time of year. The warming is briefly interrupted
on Tuesday as a quick moving system brings a 20% chance of
precipitation and increasing cloud cover. Rain showers and
thunderstorms will be focused on higher terrain in the southern
Central Idaho mountains. Later in the week, a strong Pacific
system will carry a cold front through the area, dropping
temperatures about 15-20 degrees from Thursday. Precipitation
chances range from 20-30% near Payette NF to 10-20% in Boise NF,
increasing to the north. The exact chance of precipitation is
still low confidence due to timing difference amongst guidance.
* Southeast Oregon (OR Zones 670-675)...Temperatures general warm
alongside drying conditions through Thursday, peaking on
Thursday at 10-15 degrees above normal for this time of year.
The warming is briefly interrupted on Tuesday as a quick moving
system increases cloud cover across the area. Rain showers and
thunderstorms are possible in Baker County Tuesday evening.
Later in the week, a strong Pacific system will carry a cold
front through the area, dropping temperatures about 15-20
degrees from Thursday. Precipitation chances during the frontal
passage are highest in northeastern Oregon at 20-30%, however
confidence is low due to timing differences amongst guidance.
