* Southwest Idaho BLM (ID Zones 400, 420, 423, 424, 426)...Scattered showers are
expected through Friday night, with a slight chance of
thunderstorms this afternoon. Storms are most likely near the
Magic Valley, and could produce abundant lightning. Confidence
is low on scattered thunderstorm coverage however, prompting the
cancellation of the Fire Weather Watch. Storms could also
produce erratic gusty outflow winds, small hail, and brief heavy
rain. Showers move to the northeast Friday night. Temperatures
begin to warm this weekend into early next week as high pressure
builds. RHs dry as temperatures rise. There is a weak system
with potential to bring more showers Monday and Tuesday.
* Southwest Idaho Forest (ID Zones 401, 402, 403, 421)...Scattered
showers are expected today, with a slight chance of
thunderstorms this afternoon. Confidence is low on scattered
thunderstorm coverage however, prompting the cancellation of the
Fire Weather Watch. Storms could produce abundant lightning,
erratic gusty outflow winds, small hail, and brief heavy rain.
Showers remain in the area through Saturday afternoon as
moisture wraps around the exiting system, with low thunderstorm
chances overnight into Saturday afternoon. Temperatures begin to
warm this weekend into early next week as high pressure builds.
RHs dry as temperatures rise. There is a weak system with
potential to bring more showers Monday and Tuesday.
* Southeast Oregon (OR Zones 670-675)...There is a slight chance of showers and
thunderstorms this afternoon. Precipitation chances are highest
in Baker and Malheur counties. Storms could produce erratic
gusty outflow winds, small hail, and brief heavy rain.
Precipitation tapers off late this evening and tonight.
Temperatures begin to warm this weekend into early next week as
high pressure builds. RHs dry as temperatures rise. There is a
