...The National Weather Service in Boise ID has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Oregon...

  Malheur River Near Vale affecting Malheur County.

For the Malheur River...including Vale...Moderate flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.

The next statement will be issued Friday afternoon at 300 PM MDT

...FLOOD WARNING FOR A MINOR FLOODING IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and forecast to continue.

* WHERE...Malheur River near Vale.

* WHEN...From this evening until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 19.5 feet, the river will begin spilling over its
  bank, flooding farmland between Vale and Ontario. Water will begin
  approaching low spots on Butte Drive. Water will approach the 36th
  Street Bridge upstream from Ontario about 8 hours after flood
  stage is exceeded in Vale.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM MDT Thursday /7:30 PM PDT Thursday/ the stage was
    19.6 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 19.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM MDT Thursday /7:30 PM PDT Thursday/ was
    19.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will remain between 19.5 feet and 20.0
    feet into early next week and possibly longer.
  - Flood stage is 19.5 feet.
