The following message is transmitted at the request of the
Payette National Forest Avalanche Center.

...The Payette National Forest Avalanche Center in McCall Idaho
has issued a BACKCOUNTRY AVALANCHE WARNING...

* WHAT...The avalanche danger for the warning area is HIGH.

* WHERE...in the West Central Idaho Mountains, and the Valley
County-Payette Avalanche Center advisory area near McCall.

* WHEN...in effect from Tuesday 11 AM until Wednesday 5 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...A powerful multi-day storm continues to overload a
very weak snowpack. Natural and human-triggered avalanches large
enough to bury people are almost certain. Some avalanches will be
large enough to snap trees and damage structures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid all avalanche terrain, including flat ground below steep
slopes-slopes steeper than about 30 degrees. Avalanches may be
triggered remotely-from flat terrain above, below, and to the
sides of steep slopes. Natural and human-triggered avalanches may
run long distances and can impact the valley bottom.

Consult WWW.PAYETTEAVALANCHE.ORG or WWW.AVALANCHE.ORG for more
detailed information.

Similar avalanche danger may exist at locations outside the
coverage area of this or any avalanche center.
