...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northern Tallapoosa
and northeastern Coosa Counties through 300 AM CDT
...

At 220 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Hanover, or 7 miles west of Kellyton, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Alexander City, Dadeville, Goodwater, Camp Hill, Kellyton, Jacksons`
Gap, New Site, Goldville, Hillabee Creek, Hanover, Bradford, Northern
Lake Martin, Hatchet, Crewsville, Wind Creek State Park, Eastern Lake
Martin, Daviston, Fishpond, Ray, and Horseshoe Bend National Military
Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
