...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WESTERN LEE...NORTHEASTERN MACON
AND SOUTHEASTERN TALLAPOOSA COUNTIES THROUGH 1100 PM CDT...

At 1009 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Liberty City, or 8 miles northwest of Notasulga, moving east at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Auburn, Opelika, Notasulga, Liberty City, Auburn University, Tuskegee
National Forest, Beauregard, Society Hill, Southern Lake Martin,
Loachapoka, Robert G. Pitts Airport, I 85 Rest Area, Blue Creek
Marina, Chewacla State Park, Roxana, and Reeltown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
