...River Statement For The Cahaba River...

.Rainfall during the past 24 hours is producing rises on the Cahaba
River. However, levels are expected to remain below action stage.
This is the last statement for this event.


The Cahaba River at Marion Junction.
* At 7:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 8.3 feet.
* Action stage is 15.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 36.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.1 feet
  Wednesday evening.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet...Flooding around Oakmulgee Creek begins and
  cattle need to be moved to higher ground. Overflow of pasture lands
  increases at stages above 20 feet.
