Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 320 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hoover, Alabaster, Pelham, Helena, Pell City, Leeds, Moody, Calera, Chelsea, Montevallo, Columbiana, Wilsonville, Lincoln, Indian Springs Village, Vincent, Harpersville, Westover, Highland Lakes, Mount Laurel and Fowler Lake. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads.
