The National Weather Service in Birmingham has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Cleburne County in east central Alabama...

* Until 1000 AM CDT.

* At 747 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported several water
  rescues ongoing this morning due to high water across the warned
  area. This includes multiple reports from the Ranburne community.
  Between 5 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
  amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
  flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Heflin, Ranburne, Fruithurst, Edwardsville, Abernathy, Lake
  Cleburne, Trickem, I 20 Welcome Center and Sweetwater Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
