...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WELLS...FOSTER AND NORTHERN
STUTSMAN COUNTIES THROUGH 745 PM CDT...
At 717 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles southeast of Harvey to Spiritwood.
Movement was northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Jamestown, Carrington, Harvey, Fessenden, Kensal, Ypsilanti,
Glenfield, Buchanan, Spiritwood Lake, Bordulac, Spiritwood, Grace
City, Pingree, Mchenry, Courtenay, Cathay, Bowdon, Eldridge,
Sykeston, and Heimdal.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for south central,
southeastern and north central North Dakota.
