Warm and humid conditions continue over the region through
Independence Day with highs mainly in the mid 80s to mid 90s.

Widespread chances of showers and thunderstorms are in the
forecast for today and Independence Day. Some storms may be
strong to severe this afternoon through the evening, while storms
on Independence Day could produce heavy rain with some isolated
to scattered severe storms possible in the east.

A significant cool down in daytime temperatures is expected
Saturday and Sunday with highs mainly in the 70s to lower 80s with
continued chances for showers and thunderstorms.
