Aside from a brief warmup on Thursday, it will remain bitterly
cold across the region through early next week, with dangerous
wind chills at times. High temperatures will mainly be in the
single digits above and below zero, except for Thursday when
southwest parts of the region could reach the lower to mid 20s.
Lows tonight are once again expected to fall into the 20s below
zero, with following nights mostly around 5 to 20 below for low
temperatures. The most dangerous time periods for wind chills will
be tonight through Thursday morning, with values as low as 50
below zero. Low to medium chances for light snow will return to
southern parts of the region on Friday and continue on and off
into early next week.
