A very strong cold front is set to move across the region late
tonight through Saturday. Low temperatures tonight will generally
be in the mid 40s to mid 50s. Temperatures on Saturday are then only
expected to be slightly cooler, and could actually be warmer in
the Red River Valley. It will be very windy with gusts as high as
65 mph especially in North Dakota and northeastern Montana. There
is also a 20 to 30 percent chance of showers on Saturday, mainly
across northern North Dakota and the southern Canadian Prairies.

A return to well above average temperatures is favored for next
week, with highs mostly in the 70s to low 80s and overnight lows
mostly in the 40s. It will also likely remain dry, with very
little to no precipitation in the forecast for next week.
Generally light winds are also forecast for next week.
