Light snow will fall across much of the region through tonight.
The highest snow amounts are expected in southern Canada, but a
few inches could accumulate in northeast Montana, northern and
eastern North Dakota, and northwest Minnesota. After the snowfall,
gusty westerly winds will create areas of blowing snow late
tonight through Thursday, especially across northern and eastern
North Dakota. Looking ahead, the next system could bring several
inches of snow to areas along and south of Interstate 94 Friday
afternoon through Saturday.

Temperatures will remain bitterly cold for the foreseeable
future. Highs through Sunday will be in the single digits and
teens above zero, with overnight lows mainly in the single digits
below zero. The coldest wind chills as low as 35 below zero are
expected across northeast Montana, southern Saskatchewan, and
northwest and north central North Dakota late tonight through
Thursday morning.
