Near critical to critical fire weather conditions are forecast
this afternoon and evening for much of western and central North
Dakota. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for most areas to the
south and west of the Missouri River and Lake Sakakawea. A notable
but brief warm up in temperatures is on tap for today, with much
cooler temperatures expected for this coming weekend. More
widespread precipitation returns late in the weekend into early
next week.

.REST OF TODAY...Clear to partly cloudy. Breezy west. Highs in
the upper 70s to upper 80s.
.TONIGHT...Partly cloudy. Lows from around 50 northwest to the mid
60s far southeast.
.FRIDAY...Partly cloudy. Chance of rain showers and possibly a
thunderstorm northwest and southeast. Windy. Highs from the mid
60s northwest to the mid 80s southeast.
.SATURDAY...Mostly cloudy. Chance of showers and thunderstorms
Saturday night. Lows in the 40s to around 50. Highs in the 60s to
lower 70s.
