One more day of very hot conditions across southern North Dakota,
with heat index values and temperatures around 95 to 100 this
afternoon. Northern parts of the state will remain slightly
cooler today, with highs in the 80s to around 90. A few isolated
thunderstorms could develop from south central to northeast North
Dakota late this afternoon and evening. A strong to severe storm
cannot be ruled out. It will be slightly cooler on Friday and
Saturday, then hot again for most areas on Sunday. Temperatures
are favored to fall closer to normal next week, with forecast
highs mostly in the 80s.

.TODAY...Partly to mostly sunny. Slight chance of showers north
in the morning. Slight chance of thunderstorms northeast to south
central in the late afternoon. Patchy smoke northeast. Highs from
the 80s far north to mid and upper 90s south.
.TONIGHT...Partly cloudy. Chance of showers and thunderstorms
northeast, slight chance south central. Patchy smoke east. Lows
from around 60 northwest to the lower 70s southeast.
.FRIDAY...Partly cloudy. Highs from the lower and mid 80s north
to lower and mid 90s south.
.SATURDAY...Partly cloudy. Chance of showers and thunderstorms
west. Lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Highs in the mid 80s to
mid 90s.
