Today will see cooler temperatures in the 60s northwest, to the
80s across southern South Dakota and southern Minnesota. Chances
for showers and thunderstorms will be mainly across far northern
and eastern portions of the Northern Plains. Strong west winds are
expected across the region, decreasing in the afternoon and early
evening.

Precipitation chances return later on Friday, with a brief warm up
to bring highs back to the mid 70s to mid 80s. Temperatures this
weekend will then be cooler, with chances for precipitation low
overall. By Sunday, morning lows could drop down into the 30s over
northeast Montana and western North Dakota. Daytime highs Sunday
will be in the 60s and 70s region wide.
