Survey Summary:

The Medina QLCS tornado now includes new information, although
the rating remains an EF1 tornado with maximum estimated wind
speeds at 108 mph. A new report of tornado damage was found 2
miles north of Crystal Springs. This is likely the new start of
the tornado. Here a power pole was leaning over. A farm building
was completely destroyed, while an older barn had its walls
collapsed and is likely damaged beyond repair. There is tree
damage reported at this initial location as well. Also, an empty
grain bin was lift and moved 400 feet northward, hitting vehicles
along its path. From there the tornado snapped and downed trees to
the trunk with leaves and branches blown off. Bent and twisted a
power tower. Damage the roof to one farm building, while another
farm building was completely destroyed. There was shingle, roof,
garage and siding damage to homes. Debris scattered around
property and up to a half mile away. Semi trailer tipped to the
side. Tornado lasted approximately 11 minutes and traveled east
northeast for roughly 7 miles from the new initial damage point.
Given damage indicators a preliminary rating of EF1 has been given
with winds up 108 mph.

Thank you to the public observers who submitted these damage
reports and photos.
