.DISCUSSION...
Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the burnsite at the
start of the forecast period. Minimum relative humidity this
afternoon is around 25 percent, but is expected to recover
overnight to a maximum of around 71 percent. Low temperatures
tonight are expected to drop as low as 50 percent. Breezy west
winds this afternoon are expected to rapidly diminish through the
early evening, becoming very light and somewhat variable through
the early overnight period, before organizing out of the south
around 5 MPH around 3 am.
Mostly sunny and very dry conditions are expected at the burnsite on
Thursday. High temperatures Thursday afternoon are forecast around
86 degrees, with minimum relative humidity dropping as low as 17
percent. Light south to southwest winds in the morning are
expected to strengthen through the afternoon, becoming sustained
around 15 to 20 MPH and gusting as high as 25 MPH out of the west
by the mid to late afternoon. A Red Flag Warning is in effect at
the burnsite Thursday afternoon into the early evening (1 PM CDT
through 9 PM CDT).
